Course Description:
This course will equip the student with a basic understanding of the Bible: its source, development, preservation, translation, and use throughout history. A student will get a brief introduction to the content of its “library,” too, and understand the overarching grand narrative and the integral relationship between the Old and New Testaments. The primary focus will be on gaining essential tools to begin studying the Bible yourself. Such study is life-transforming for the student but also provides a foundation for teaching and preaching what you find in this incredible Word. These skills in basic Bible study will help you trust, understand, and apply God’s word more fully and faithfully in your own life and to equip others to do the same.
