Day 31: Never Weary

Scripture: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding has no limit.” – Isaiah 40:28

You get tired. You run out of energy, patience, and capacity. You hit your limit and need to rest.

God doesn’t.

“He will not grow tired or weary.” This matters because sometimes you need God to carry what you cannot. And the question sneaks in: “What if God gets tired of me? What if I’m asking too much? What if He runs out of patience?”

The answer is always no. He will not grow weary. His strength doesn’t deplete. His patience doesn’t run out. His capacity is limitless.

I know a mom with a severely disabled child who requires round-the-clock care. She told me, “There are days I’m so exhausted I can barely stand. And I find myself praying, ‘God, I know You must be tired of hearing me say the same prayers, ask for the same help, bring You the same struggles.’ And then I read this verse and I remember: He doesn’t get tired. I do. But He doesn’t.”

That realization changed everything for her. She stopped apologizing for needing God constantly. She stopped feeling guilty for bringing Him the same struggles over and over. Because He’s not like us. He doesn’t grow weary.

“His understanding has no limit.” You can’t overwhelm God with complexity. You can’t confuse Him with your messy situation. You can’t exhaust His ability to help you.

The world says: don’t be too needy, don’t ask for too much, don’t wear people out. God says: I will not grow tired or weary. Bring Me everything. I can handle it.

The Trust Triangle:

BELIEVE: God never grows tired or weary. His strength, patience, and understanding are limitless.

RECEIVE: I can bring God the same struggles, the same prayers, the same needs over and over without exhausting Him. He doesn’t tire of me.

RESPOND: Today, what need have I been hesitant to bring to God again because I’m afraid I’m asking too much? What if His capacity is actually limitless?

Reflection: Where have you been holding back from God, afraid you’re being too needy? What changes if you believe He never grows weary?

Prayer: “LORD, You are the everlasting God, Creator of the ends of the earth. You will not grow tired or weary. Thank You that I can’t exhaust You or ask too much. Today, I bring You [the need I’ve been hesitant to keep bringing]. I’m tired. But You’re not. Help me rest in Your limitless strength and patience.”
