Scripture: “‘Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.'” – Jeremiah 32:17
Jeremiah prayed this while sitting in prison. His nation was under siege. Everything was falling apart. And God had just told him to do something that made no logical sense: buy a field in a city that was about to be destroyed.
And Jeremiah’s response? “Nothing is too hard for you.”
Not “This makes sense.” Not “I understand Your plan.” Just: You made the heavens and the earth. You have great power. Nothing is too hard for You.
Whatever you’re facing today—the impossible situation, the unsolvable problem, the hopeless diagnosis, the broken relationship that seems beyond repair—it’s not too hard for God.
“But you don’t understand how bad it is,” you might be thinking. You’re right. I don’t. But God does. And it’s still not too hard for Him.
I watched a couple on the brink of divorce—affairs, betrayal, years of bitterness—sit in a counselor’s office and say, “We don’t think this can be fixed.” The counselor said, “You’re probably right. You can’t fix this. But is it too hard for God?”
Five years later, they’re not just together, they’re thriving. They’ll tell you it wasn’t easy, it wasn’t quick, and it required both of them to surrender control. But God did what they couldn’t do. Because nothing is too hard for Him.
The world says: if something is too hard for you, it’s just too hard. Give up. Move on. God says: what’s impossible for you is never impossible for Me.
The Trust Triangle:
BELIEVE: Nothing—absolutely nothing—is too hard for God. What’s impossible for me is possible for Him.
RECEIVE: The impossible situation I’m facing right now is not too hard for God. He can do what I cannot.
RESPOND: Today, instead of giving up on the impossible situation, I can bring it to God and ask Him to do what only He can do. What am I declaring “too hard” that I need to surrender to Him?
Reflection: What situation have you given up on because it seems impossible? What if it’s not too hard for God?Prayer: “Sovereign LORD, You made the heavens and the earth by Your great power. Nothing is too hard for You. Today, I bring You [impossible situation]. I can’t fix this or make this work. But it’s not too hard for You. I surrender control and ask You to do what only You can do. Help me believe You can make a way where I see no way.”
