2026 two day pastor meeting with Bishop Greenway

2026 two day pastor meeting with Bishop Greenway

Sisters and Brothers,

We are blessed to have Jeff Greenway as our bishop. His gift of encouragement strengthens our connection. His insight into the Gospel, Methodism, and leadership is enhancing our conference structure and mission. He also desires to invest in your calling in Christ as you serve in your appointments. Therefore, he desires to meet with you either January 5-6 in Goldsboro or January 8-9 in Mooresville. Whether you attend St. Paul Church, Goldsboro or Rocky Mount Church, Mooresville, we hope you will be encouraged in fellowship with one another and strengthened through the Bishop’s teaching ministry. Lunch is provided for both days. Due to the unique setting of Rocky Mount Church, supper will also be provided on January 8. That we might be wise stewards of resources, please sign up here.

The Bishop will clarify his teaching topic shortly. Originally our focus was on “Spiritually Leading through Change.” It is possible that we will return to these insights. However, the Assembly of Bishops is working on a new teaching initiative. Should that be completed and prepared in the next week or two, our Bishop may use the time with us to introduce the new material. We will keep you informed.

In addition to the pastor meetings, we invite clergy and laity from throughout the conference to worship together at 7:00 p.m. on January 5 at St. Paul Church, Goldsboro or January 8, Rocky Mount Church, Mooresville. Please share this opportunity in your Sunday announcements and church newsletters.
