Children’s Ministry & discipleship
Matthew 19:14
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
These words mandate that we actively seek and reach children.
Christ-Centered Children's Ministry
At the NC Conference of the Global Methodist Church, our Children’s Ministry exists to nurture the spiritual growth of children through Christ-centered teaching, discipleship, and a loving community. We also encourage adults with the training and support they need to lead high-quality kids’ ministry programs that reflect the love of Jesus. Children are important to Jesus, and we are responsible for loving each one and showing them the face of Christ.
Supporting Strong and Effective Children’s Ministry
The NC Conference of the Global Methodist Church provides guidance and resources to help churches build or revitalize their children’s ministry programs. We offer proven strategies and age-appropriate materials designed to engage 21st-century children in meaningful, Christ-centered learning. In addition, we supply volunteer training resources to help ministry leaders and team members deliver an excellent and impactful children’s ministry experience.
Children's Ministry Events
The NC Conference of the Global Methodist Church will be hosting one-day, in-person training events designed to strengthen your local children’s ministry. These interactive gatherings will include hands-on learning experiences such as fun, faith-based games to use with children, best practices for creating safe ministry environments following MinistrySafe guidelines, and tips for accessing free or low-cost ministry resources. Attendees are also invited to participate in a resource swap—bring gently used curriculum, books, or supplies and exchange them with fellow leaders.
Dates and locations will be announced soon.
